AI Agent Notifications

Give Your AI Agents
a Notification Channel

Connect NotiLens to Claude, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible AI tool. Your AI agents notify you when tasks complete, fail, stall, or need your input — straight to your phone.

You're babysitting your AI agents instead of working

Long-running AI tasks mean you're either stuck watching a terminal, or you walk away and have no idea when (or whether) they finished.

You're glued to the terminal

A long code generation, analysis, or refactor run forces you to sit and wait. You can't context-switch — you have no idea if it'll finish in 2 minutes or 20.

Silent failures and stalls

Your AI agent hits a tool error, runs out of context, or gets stuck in a loop — and you're not there to see it. The task sits failed or stalled with no one aware.

Agents need input and can't reach you

Your agent reaches a decision point that requires human approval. Without a notification channel, it either halts silently or makes a guess you didn't authorise.

Your AI agent calls NotiLens. Your phone lights up.

Add the NotiLens MCP server to your Claude or Cursor config. Your AI can now send you push notifications at any point in its task lifecycle — without you writing a line of integration code.

  • Task started, progressed, completed, failed — all lifecycle events
  • Input required — agent pauses and notifies you to approve
  • Custom messages at any point in the task
  • ACK from your lock screen to unblock the agent
  • Per-task notification history in your dashboard

Two config lines and you're connected

Add the NotiLens MCP server to your Claude or Cursor config file. Your AI agents can send push notifications immediately.

Install with npm install -g @notilens/notilens · Token & secret from your NotiLens dashboard

1

Install the CLI

Run npm install -g @notilens/notilens and then notilens init to connect your account.

2

Add to MCP config

Paste the NotiLens MCP server block into your Claude Desktop or Cursor config JSON. Restart the app.

3

Your agent notifies you

The AI can now call notilens.notify() and notilens.complete() — push lands on your phone instantly.

Let your AI agents work while you do something else.
They'll ping you when they need you.

Stop babysitting long-running tasks. Walk away. Get the push when it matters.

NotiLens MCP Server — common questions

What is MCP and why does it matter for AI notifications? +
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard from Anthropic that lets AI models like Claude call external tools and services directly. By exposing NotiLens as an MCP server, Claude and other MCP clients can call notilens.notify() as a tool — without any custom integration code on your part.
Which AI tools support MCP? +
Claude Desktop, Cursor, Continue, Zed, Windsurf, and a growing list of other AI coding and agent tools support MCP. The standard is open, so any tool that implements the MCP client spec can connect to the NotiLens MCP server.
Can the AI agent wait for my ACK before continuing? +
Yes. The NotiLens MCP server exposes an input_required tool call that pauses the agent and sends you an actionable push notification. When you ACK from your phone, the agent receives confirmation and continues. This enables genuine human-in-the-loop approval flows for sensitive operations.
Does this require the NotiLens app on my phone? +
Yes — you'll need the NotiLens iOS or Android app to receive push notifications from your AI agent. Web push is also supported if you prefer to receive alerts in your browser. Setup takes about 2 minutes once you've created a free account.
